To apply please fill out the Application Form below. Alternatively, do call at the Gillingham shop/telephone 01747 821010 and a volunteer’s pack will be given/sent to you. Full training is available.
The Application Form needs to include the names and addresses of two referees. They should be people who have known you for 5 years who are not relatives. It may be necessary for us to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
The shop contains a toilet with facilities for the disabled.
It is our policy to ensure that at least one able-bodied volunteer is on duty in the shop to assist a disabled volunteer. Normally duties last for three hours, morning or afternoon, once a week, but sometimes you may be asked if you can cover another volunteer’s absence. If you can offer more hours, we would be delighted.
